Mandoza Feeds The Poor

Kwaito rebel, Mandoza, proves he’s not just a bad boy by offering to help feed starving families across the African continent. After over two years of media scrutiny for causing a car accident that took two lives, Mandoza is finally making a turnaround in his life. A few weeks ago he partnered with George-based non-profit organization, Bolton Food For Life Foundation – an organization that aims to feed poor families in Africa.

According to the founder of the organization, Cilla Bolton, there are about 220 million people in Africa who go to sleep on empty stomachs, 13 million of which are South Africans. Mandoza will be expected to use his influence as a musician to create awareness about hunger in Africa and raise funds from South Africa and other African countries. Bolton Food For Life Foundation plans to distribute a 400g tin of cooked pap and meat with a shelf-life of up to 3 years, to starving families.

Mandoza’s manager, Curwyn Eaton told MIO that Mandoza always wanted to give back to the community and he has been negotiating with Bolton Food For Life for over a year. Apparently, the kwaito muso also decided to take part in this initiative after seeing large-scale starvation while touring Africa.
