Melodic rock band, Plush, returns home for a tour you cannot afford to miss. After a nine months absence in South Africa’s rock music scene, the band is back! The tour kicks off in KZN this weekend. “It’s with reluctance that one moves away from home and one’s comfort zone,” says lead vocalist, guitarist and band founder, Rory Eliot. “It’s so refreshing to come home and perform for the very people who made me believe enough in myself to take my career to the next level.”
The band has been missing in action for the past year giving their lead singer an opportunity to hone his song writing skills. Besides studying towards a Masters degree in Song Writing at the UK’s Bath Spa University, Eliot has been performing sell-out shows in Bath, Bristol and London.
Fans can expect nothing but the best from Plush as they take them through their 2007 hit album, Rage On, with contagious rock joints such as “Lucky Fish”, “When Grace Grew Tall” and “All For The Better”. Loyal fans who want to hear songs from when they were just that small band from the Mother City will not be disappointed. Old favourites from previous albums, A Few Blinding Views and All That It Should Be will be performed. Eliot will also give rock fans a taste of what to expect from his upcoming solo album.
