The 3rd edition of Talent Campus Durban invites African filmmakers to apply to participate in an intensive 5-day programme of workshops and seminars delivered by film professionals to enhance both theoretical and practical approaches to filmmaking. The aim of the programme is to try to identify talent and strengthen the career of African filmmakers by giving them comprehensive workshops on the pillars of filmmaking. Topics such as development, production (case studies), scriptwriting, pre and post-production, pitching, finance and distribution will be covered. Participants will also get a chance to interact with industry experts through a series of speed meetings, panel discussions, master-classes and networking breakfasts. In the past, Talent Campus has had about 40 participants from 20 countries across the continent including South Africa.
Talent Campus runs concurrently with the 31st Durban International Film Festival from 23 to 27 July. Participants will have the opportunity to attend the films and events at the festival.
