Brace yourself for a side-splitting comedy show as David Kau and his cabinet of comedians take a closer look at President Jacob Zuma’s new cabinet tomorrow evening at Jozi’s Emperors Palace. David Kau is the president and his cabinet consists of some of the best comedians this country has ever seen. On the bill expect to see Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth; the Mother City’s funny man, Ndumiso Lindi; Mzansi’s answer to Steven Wright, Chris Forrest; So You Think You Funny’s famous judge, Ntosh Madlingozi and rising comedian Chris Mapane. Just to give you a taste of what to expect tomorrow, we spoke to one of David Kau’s ministers, Chris Forrest and this is what he had to say:
What can Chris Forrest fans expect from you at the Blacks Only show?
A stand up comedy set complete with set ups and punch-lines.
How did you prepare for this show?
A rigorous exercise programme that includes drinking beer and watching TV. Sometimes I ran around the block, mostly I just slept over it.
If Jacob Zuma asked you to join his cabinet, which portfolio would you hold and why?
Minister of Foreign Affairs, I would love to have an affair with a foreigner sometime.
Do you think Jacob Zuma will make a good president?
I hope so otherwise Jesus is coming back sooner than expected.
If you could choose one province to govern, which one would it be and why?
Gauteng because I live there. If it were anywhere else the drive to work and back everyday would get quite tiring.
